Back where I belong!

At long last I got my head back down to some decent Macro photography today and it was wonderful !!
This is the Ivy bee Colletes hederae, so called because it feeds exclusively  on the nectar of Ivy flowers.
It is a non-native species, first recorded in 2001 but spreading fast!! they are solitary bees, but when conditions are suitable there may be thousands of nests in the same area.
Getting back to it  made me feel better as my lovely sewing machine  broke yesterday, hopefully they will replace it :-(
