New Lanark

My better half booked this weeks ago we both forgot about it . We visited here about 4 years ago and said we would like to come back and stay , so we’ve booked the self catering water house at the mill at New Lanark. It’s a fascinating place which was one of the first places in Britain to build for their workers a community with school which was free and medical care was also free . No children were allowed to work in the mill . It was a forward thinking social experiment which looked after its work force.
