Plaka
We visited Plaka last night for our evening meal. It is an old settlement on the side of one of the biggest hills on Milos with narrow, twisting cobbled streets - in fact with all the stereotypical aspects of traditional Greek villages - streets which go up and down or are steps and have a maze-like quality. Unfortunately the light levels were really too low for decent photography so I shot this rather intriguing lamp which we saw in one. Of the shops.
If we'd been there in the daytime we might have tried to climb up to the castle as it is said to give you panoramic views over the whole of the island of Milos
