Solace Day 1. Tattenhall Marina

The first day of our holiday on Solace.  An unusual trip down as she is in a different marina.  Tattenhall is a "sister" marina to Great Haywood and so we had negotiated to berth Solace there for the summer.  This meant the trip down avoided the usual congestion on the M6 that we have grown so used to.

We made it to the marina by about one and were off by 2:45.   Very early into the trip we passed the boatyard which reawakened our canal interest.  We had booked a week right at the start of the school term to celebrate my retirement.

Soon after passing the boat yard we met the very boat "Snowmane".  By coincidence this week was exactly the 10 year anniversary of that trip and we planned much the same route (longer of course as this is a fortnight not a week).  Many memories flooded back as it was the last holiday for M the "mate's" late wife and Clickychick's late Mum was with us as well.
