Confused crabber, Leigh-on-Sea, Essex

This man was trudging about in the mud with a net and stick. "Looking for crabs," he explained. "Not having much luck."

I suggested he buy a line and bait. "There's a beach shop next door to the Smack Inn," I added helpfully.

I saw him again half-an-hour later. He still hadn't found any crabs, but he'd certainly discovered the Smack.
