The last load.....

Another stop start day thanks to more showery weather.
Eventually bit the bullet and got the combine contractor up to cut the final 15 acres of spring barley . I baled up the straw from yesterday but the newly cut stuff was too raw to bale. We both finished about 6.30 pm, just before the rain started again .
So that’s the combining done, earlier than most years. Now all that’s left is to bale the 150 acres of wet straw all over the county, dry the 100’s of tons of wet grain and cut bale and wrap the 120 acres of second cut silage. Hopefully the weather will dry up and play ball
