La Gran Senda de Malaga

Today was our half day for yoga with a free afternoon. So I took the chance to walk another section of the Gran Senda de Malaga, biking round to near Frigiliana to start where I'd left off. This amazing route encircles the whole of Malaga province in 656 km or just over 400 miles. It's well signed from my small experience and an online English language guide gives both route descriptions and interesting local knowledge.

I had a little rain shower and the fun of walking in warm rain under my umbrella. At the pretty white and red tiled hamlet of Acebuchal I paused for a cold drink - this settlement was totally depopulated during the Spanish civil war.
