it looked a small tree, i had two seconds to decide, attempt to brush past the tree or hop to the other side of the path over a patch of mud. I opted for the tree, but the wee thing was stronger than i expected and sprung me five feet down the path attached to betty bike. unfortunately i was sliding down the floor while attached to betty bike ... brother attempting to avoid me sumersaulted over handlebars and landed in a tree .. his bike on my head. very thankful for helmets! now got very sore knees.

ride out to hierathog which is supposed to be a bunch of cycling routes but the best bit of singletrack was (we realised afterwards) footpath only. oops.
