Un Aperitivo

In the morning we drove over to Tavernola to the DIY shop. The last people to stay here broke the shower holder (allegedly). Well it is certainly broken, and anybody staying here would certainly have complained about the shower.

Tavernola is a 15 mile drive and according to the map should take 35 minutes to drive. Due to traffic blockages in the single file sections of the road going through the villages I think it too about an hour to get there, and about an hour and a half to get back.

On the return the car immediately in front of me was a police car. We were stuck about a mile from Lenno far at least half an hour without moving. The guy in the police car could at least talk to HQ to find out what was going on.

We got back eventually, and with the spare part I had bought in the DIY shop it took less than five minutes to fix the shower.

In the evening we decided to have a pizza, we stopped off in the bar while we waited for the pizzeria to open. They gave us some tasty nibbles which did spoil our appetite somewhat.
