The Beast from the East comes to East Lothian

This is our recent painting purchase, bought during the Porty Art Walk last week. It is by a fellow cyclist, Jude Nixon, and is entitled ‘Snowy Fields in East Lothian’. She painted it while the Beast from the East wrought havoc around the countryside earlier this year. We like it because it is pleasingly abstract and enigmatic, affording us the ability of using our imagination as to what we see.

Autumn has come very suddenly today and I imagine our southern visitors are finding it more beneficial to trawl the art galleries and bookshops rather than sightseeing in the wind and chill. We will meet up tonight for a valedictory meal at the local Malaysian restaurant where the menus should warm us up as we say good bye for another year.
