how close was it?

Actually pretty darn close. It is one of the two youngsters that have been spotted in our yard with and without their mother this summer. I think this is the more independent  of the two as I usually see the lighter colored on with mom. I am afraid this was taken through the window screen and the branches of the crabapple so it is a bit dim and fuzzy.
