Across the Water
Staring at me across the water of the Avon which glided like a flat mirror between us, this roebuck stopped and looked.
Walking the banks of the river near Eckington Bridge late this afternoon was incredibly tranquil with the sun beaming down through a break in the clouds. The dogs at my heels scampering ahead, nothing flying at all in the reeds combined with low sun gave it a rather quiet autumnal feel for a change. The noisy canoeists having gone further down the river was a blessing and it was in this peace that the roe deer heads popped up out of the grasses on the opposite bank. Magic.
The dentist first thing today followed by cooking lunch for a dear friend along with a good catch up meant I was fairly late getting out but as it was it was timed perfectly!
