On The Spot

Arrived at photo group this morning only to find that the member who was due to do a presentation hadn't turned up because he wasn't well..........so the leader had to think of something else for us all to do.
She glanced out of the window and said " right, it's stopped raining, go out into the grounds and get half a dozen photos, then we'll critique them straight off the card, as a group."
Eeeek, panic ensued at the thought of unprocessed photos being seen by all.........everyone was really careful with their exposure and composition, but we all bit the bullet and did it.
In the end it was a really useful exercise because it made us all really think about what we were taking........and we would never have voted to spend the session that way had it not been dropped on us :-)
