Invasive pest.

It is easy to understand why the Victorians found the flowers of Himalayan Balsam so attractive. The trouble is these plants spread like wildfire especially in areas where flooding can occur when the seeds float to new areas. The banks of the local river are particularly effected  with this foliage growing to over 5 feet in places.
