There were rusty things ...

11.9C with lots of rain through the night and in the morning. Trying to brighten up (and failing) through the afternoon.

Apothecary7 was busy online this morning ordering some things to take to her mum later in the week. That passed the time in the wettest part of the day.

To get out of the house for a while we decided to go for lunch to the farm shop at Milton Haugh, a few miles inland and just off the road from Carnoustie to Forfar. As we walked from the car park to the Corn Kist Coffee Shop we noticed some rusty old farm implements displayed against one of the walls of a barn. A gift for blippers we thought ... and when we got back to the car Maeve the Deerhound did remark that she had seen us with our cameras and thought that it was the best blip opportunity for today :-)

When we got home it was looking a little brighter, and since the rain was off we did take Maeve for a decent length of walk. No fields or shore today though. Just down to Carnoustie High Street, along one side and back along the other.

Later we shall watch Yotam Ottolenghi exploring Istanbul in episode two of his cooking travelogue.
