Back in the North

We were over at the new house this morning - got there at 8am to supervise the laying of  bedroom and stair carpets.  A couple of rooms are looking quite habitable now.  There really wasn't much more we could do to help at this stage, so we packed up and set off for home.

I took this from the car on the M6 as we were driving through the Howgill Fells. They are most beautifully shaped hills and the light was catching them nicely, but there was no prospect of stopping for a picture.

I'm glad to be home.  There's loads of catching up to do, but tomorrow I intend to have a good old lie in!
