Lacoste
Been there, didn't get the tee shirt. Did see the Castle where the Marquis de Sade lived in in the 18th century.
Quote Wikipedia: "Lacoste is a picturesque old mountain village overlooking the village of Bonnieux and the Grand Luberon Mountains to the east, and flanked by the Vaucluse to the north and the Petit Luberon to the south. There is also a path through the valley that leads from Bonnieux to Lacoste (about a 45-minute walk)."
Bollocks. We were walking for hours...
Lacoste was hot and interesting, the castle intriguing, the Café de France welcoming and satisfying. I arrived after doing the car run to Apt to pick up the beer with John Forbes and best chums Eric and Steve, so I needed some exercise and suggested the walk back to Bonnieux with Margie, Margaret and Davey. Sitting in the cool café it seemed like a good idea, and it was really, but it did take longer than anticipated. The route took us straight to our gite and there was cool beer and rosé wine in the fridge so it ended well. Roll on tomorrow and lunch with the parents of the Bride.
