Sewan
This is Sewan, he is a monk. He is also very, very lovely. He is the guy that helped us with the dog that had a go at me and showed us round the monastery. I am still not clear how young lads end up being monks but Sewan sees it as a great opportunity and enjoys it very much, despite the rules which prohibit him from smoking, drinking, having girlfriends etc.
Today was our second day at work and it was more encouraging. Our first meeting was planned for 10 but ended up happening at 12. I think this might be Nepalese style time keeping, so we shall see how that goes. I might be in for some culture shock!
We had lunch of friend noodles at a bargain price made by a lady from down the road and she brought them to the office. That's service. And we haven't been ill yet.
The journey home was pretty unpleasant, despite getting a seat on the "bus". The pollution is rank and we plan on getting face masks. Once home we did a lap of the stupa spinning all the prayer wheels, I didnt count them though, next time...
We then had more momos in a random back street place. Part of my tooth fell off, which is disappointing, but we haven't been ill yet!
