Whale watching from Tangalooma
These amazing humpback whales are on their way on their southern migration . They have headed north to warmer waters during the winter to mate and give birth . The calves drink up to 100 litres of milk a day . A whaling station existed her for 10 years in the 1950,s which reduced the numbers down to about 300 . Now about 33,000 make the migration .
