Lichen

A tree has been shedding it's bark & I spotted this beautiful piece on the path, so I picked it up & put it on this lovely old wall.
Look at all the pretty Lichen, so pretty yellow & grey.
Lichen on tree bark is completely harmless to the tree itself. The roots allow them to attach to the but do not go deep enough to harm the tree in any way.
