Knitted Dereliction

This morning I had to collect a parcel from the Sorting Office which is at the other end of Greenwich.

I decided to walk along the river and am always a bit wary about walking along the industrial part where there are a few derelict buildings etc., but sometimes good for a photo. I spotted a bit of brightly multi-coloured cheerfulness though ahead of me...first a striped pole in very bright colours covered in knitting and then I saw the rusty staircase which I've seen many times before, but never looking as cheerful and colourful as this!

Someone has been very busy! I've seen this done before when I've been down to Portsmouth/Southsea on poles/benches and it always brings a smile to my face!
