BABS!
A full day in the office, today, mildly irritated by an article knocking the 10k steps that is the daily goal of conscientious Fitbit wearers. The article (rightly) made the point that there's no science behind it as such, which, to me, actually misses the point. Getting off your backside and walking five miles a day is going to benefit most people and doing that daily was when I lost most of my weight, last year.
Speaking of which, I'm three days into 'the taper', now, which is the part of the marathon training regime when you actually run less. I stopped drinking on Saturday to give myself a bit of weight loss - maybe two for three kilos - before the race. Plus, I kind of stopped focussing on losing weight once I'd lost two stone and I do want to lose the last one.
Anyway, back to today. I picked Abi up from her mum's on my way home from work and we went to Booths to grab some food for dinner. She was on fine form and we had plenty of laughs while we were shopping and then on into the evening.
