This was my sister's 40th birthday lunch today. It's not her birthday til next week but she loves a hoopla for days either side.
I'm the opposite - I never get excited by them (or depressed - just indifferent).

Felix wasn't well so I had to leave him with his Uncle Tony - if he'd known what he was missing out on he would have been so upset. Never mind: what he never had, he won't miss and I got to take the cake home so he was quite happy.

I sat beside the four kids present, who are all so lovely it was a real pleasure. Here are three of them playing Bingo.
