Diary of an Edinburgher

Birthday!

JR popped to the gym, then off to her executive housekeeping, The we set off to a birthday lunch for Bailey's mum, Janet. All three dogs joined us in the dog-friendly Salisbury Arms. They were very glad I couldn’t find the silly party hats this time! They were allowed to sit up on the seat, on blankets, for the photo. Archie and Rufus actually prefer to be standing on the floor. A nice main course was had, followed by a very nice chocolate cake. It's good that they let you bring your own cake in. Janet took the rest of it home to share with her visitors this evening. No worries - JR made two. We have another one to get through, but will need help.

Rufus and his mum walked home from there, and JR popped home to get her coat before taking Archie out again.

I'm switching energy providers. I signed up to a new company (seen on Dragon's Den) and they've started the process and I’m going to save £325 (how do they know? It might be a really bad winter). I don’t need to do anything, they will manage the switch. All painless so far.

Uncle A should be spending the night in London before joining the Eurostar tomorrow morning, if all went to plan. Hope he remembered all his plugs.
