... Didn't spot him when I was photographing these Colchicum macrophyllum, only on the screen later!

This colchicum has the biggest leaves of all the species I grow - hence it's name.  Macro = large, phyllum + leaves.  It's been in this sunny, very gritty raised bed for many years now and has increased so well I've had to lift and divide them.

Feeling brighter, if not quite fully recovered, I managed a couple of outdoor jobs today and tackled more sitting down jobs indoors too.  Belatedly got the battery changed in Jamie's replica GWR pocket watch.  Now we just have to find a waistcoat with a pocket to keep it in!
