Battlefield Rest

This was a shelter for tram passengers and courting couples from 1914, now a bistro. Behind right is part of the Victoria Infirmary now being demolished. The New Victoria is behind me. "Battlefield" refers to the Battle of Langside involving Mary Queen of Scots. A monument stands on a hill nearby on Battlefield Road
