Waiting for surgery

Mum and Dad waiting for Mum to be taken off for her surgery. Looking at it now it strikes me as poignant; patience and vulnerability.

In the end it didn't happen. Just one of things where the surgery before hers was longer and more complicated than anticipated.

Many conversations with medical people later and Mum is rescheduled again for tomorrow rather than at the end of next week. A small miracle. They'll have both daughters with them and the support they need for the first few days.

6.25 hours from leaving and arriving home. Tomorrow we do it all again.
