Last Day Of The Season

The outdoor pool closed today at the end of the season. We spent a sociable morning swimming and chatting to the regulars who have become friends over the years, some of whom we won't see much of until it re-opens next May. The fine Summer has seen more than 70000 visits to the pool this year, apparently. I accounted for 56 of those, Tess 78. We'll certainly miss our regular visits.

After doing the weekly shop, I spent the afternoon sanding down paintwork in the kitchen while Tess tidied up the front garden.

I managed to catch the last hour of play in the Test Match watching Alastair Cook edge towards a final 50. Hope he makes it - and more - tomorrow.
