Julian Lloyd Webber

Not the greatest photo - he had just signed autographs for my aunty Val and me and there were others waiting AND the five minute call had just gone for the second half. Oh, and I only had my phone camera. Boooooo. However, I did ask permission to take his photo and he said yes. He also had a very brief conversation with me about the Elgar Concerto and how amazing the Youth Orchestra were. He was very lovely.

Tonight rates in one of my top 5 all time favourite evenings. The wonderful Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, Julian Lloyd Webber playing cello with such passion and skill, Elgar, The Planets Suite. Just amazing. Sublime, at times brought me to tears with just the sheer beauty of the music.

Then Uncle Lenny took us on a night time tour of Liverpool in his taxi - although it meant I didn't get home till midnight, it was still worth it.

Now to bed, as Basil (my soon to be internal growth) is making mayhem and causing much agony.
