Silver Birch
A walk from Pencaitland to Ormiston and back today. On the Winton Estate I passed ash trees and hoped they would survive the disease that is creeping through the country.
The low sun reflected off these silver birch trees highlighting their silveriness: winter is usually miserable in Scotland with occasional moments of beauty.
I enjoyed the walk- I'm fitter than I thought I was. But I fell asleep when I got home...!
