Famous TV Tower in east Berlin, built to dwarf the tallest buildings in the west. It was famously constructed from materials as exclusively as possible from the Warsaw Pact countries. Unfortunately none of that lot could do a lift! So they sourced that from Sweden, which they justified due to its neutrality.
