A good result
A good run followed by boring ironing was the start to my day. We went in to the village for a coffee but it was heaving as we had forgotten that today was the annual Heritage Day and so parking was scarce as the village was full of people enjoying the stalls and events, and the cafe was full. We gave up and went home again!
After a quick lunch we went to watch Thomas' rugby match. He was playing for the 2nd team but they were playing the 1st team of the opposition school, who were huge! The match started a bit slowly and it looked like our team was going to get a pasting but after half time they seemed to get a renewed vigour to their game and they ended up winning, a very good result. Our 1st team lost their match, but to be fair at the start of the season there is quite a bit of movement between 1st and 2nd team players until they get the teams sorted, and we had some excellent players in the 2nd team who perhaps should have been in the 1st team. A few injuries already, Thomas' very good friend took a bad knock to the jaw and has concussion so he will be out for a few weeks.
Now it's a lazy evening at home. Adam has gone to a 21st party that is an all night event, finishing with breakfast at 6am tomorrow morning - the problem is he has to be at the airport at 5.30am to get his flight to Austria, so whether he makes that or not....we will see. I doubt he will get any sleep although he did take a sleeping bag and a tent is being provided for people to sleep if they wish. Oh to be young and party all night (actually right now I cannot think of anything worse!)
Luke and I have been watching The Bodyguard on BBC1 - we need to catch up with the latest episode tonight, we are finding it very good.
