Pictures & Woodwork.

The finished Banksia Nut Pot.

I have spent virtually all day in the w/shop working on this Banksia Nut Pot.
This is the finished result.
I have included a couple of extras which show the lid and pot separately. You can see the holes through the side of the pot and when the lid is on, one can just see through the pot.

The trickiest part of making this was the pot as I had to be very careful making sure the forstner bit I was using to drill out the pot itself was absolutely dead centre otherwise the pot would have been no more.
A forstner bit is a 'Blind hole Drill bit'

After much sanding, it was then friction polished as you see it now.

It will not be much use as a salt or pepper mill !!!!!!!!  Ha ha.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend.
Take care.
