Great white egret

seen down at Chew Lake today - they are fairly rare and only bred in England for the first time in 2012. In the extra is a very handsome black headed gull (not in breeding plumage with the chocolate brown cap but pretty smart nevertheless) and when I got home there was a very immature goldfinch faffing around and completely happy that I was there with my camera a few feet away.
