doing it festival style

We have had a fantastic few days at the Kendal Mountain Festival - inspired beyond anything we could have imagined. Hard not to when you are listening to a range of people deliver talks who have achieved spectacular things but are still completely grounded. The exact role models that our children should have.

From Olympians (Brownlee Brothers) to successful explorers (Paul Rose) to world champion climbers Liv Sansoz to these two individuals Josh Duech and Karen Drake, yes wheelchair bound but achieving bigger dreams than you can imagine...the people were just amazing.

The children loved it and I was impressed as they managed to sit through about 7 hours of lectures and take it all in.

They were rewarded though with a shot in an ice glass at the evening's end - spoilt indeed!
