It's About Time!

It's been a long wait. We started asking the city parks department to convert some barely-used tennis courts to pickleball courts a long time ago -- I think it might have been three years -- but my memory isn't that good. It didn't take long to convince the powers that be to agree — getting it done was a different story. Here's the proof that it is happening. 

There's no guarantee the job will be finished this year. Two consecutive days with temperatures in the 70's are needed for the final surface coating to be applied, so we're keeping our fingers and paddles crossed. 

Extra shows the Kubota loader picking up more asphalt (tarmac in UK-speak) for repairing the surface. Some roots of adjacent fir and cedar trees have created a few cracks and bulges inside the fence.
