Christmas Helmet
Today we went to Keydell nursery. We had never been there before but had heard it was a bit Christmassy.
Well it was more than a bit Christmassy. Boy fell asleep on the way there so me and he stayed in the car till he woke and then entered the Christmas madness together, complete with skateboard helmet that he refused to take off. Inside he loved all the very expensive automated Christmas tat, trees, trains and Father Christmas things.
We managed to find the others in the Christmas decoration section that was full of the rest of humanity. It was absolutely heaving, and its still only November. We then went for lunch and a wander round the rest of the nursery which was empty before visiting the donkeys on the way after Granny and Boy had a fun game of fireman in the hose pipe section. I think there are going to be reindeer next week though I was unimpressed with the space reserved for them.
I have always wondered where people get such amazing decorations for Christmas and now I know. On the way home Boy announced he was not going to be a skateboarder when he is older now, but in fact he will be a fireman. We shall see how long this lasts, I am not sure he understands that being a fireman is not just playing with Granny in a garden centre. Incidently the helmet still stayed on his head till we got home, so he may not be that committed to his new career plans.
