An improvement. . .

. . . over last year.
Too many variable to be certain.
1. I got them in sooner.
2. They were, actually, watered during the dry spell.
3. It was the 1st year of my recent "Raised beds".
NOT many. just me so I didn't put many in.
Last year's got little bigger than Shallots.
I might look at my beet tomorrow. They also got sown in decent time.

Apparently I was able to buy a "mixed bag" this year - new to me.
Seems the reds are, reputedly, more mild that the ttraditional ones. We shall see.

NO idea what the reason for the white ones?
