Bandit's dead.
Got a text from my son late last night, it simply read, 'Bandit's Dead'. Maybe doesn't mean much to many Blippers but to sons Ali and Mark and me too, it meant a lot. We could almost talk the scripts with Bandit as we'd seen the film that many times. Now before you say how sad we must be I have to point out that the film Smokey and the Bandit was Alfred Hitchock's favourite film too! A bit racy, some moderate violence and some fantastic car chases - the stuff of 'boy's adventures'. We watched a lot of Burt Reynold's films, some scared us to death, the macabre 'Deliverance' was disturbing, 'The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas', hilarious and for cracking music you can't beat 'Stroker Ace'.
I might watch that again this weekend.
