I went on a super U3A walk this afternoon around the old Braye du Valle. Until sometime in the 19th century a big chunk of the north of Guernsey was separate from the rest of the island. On our walk we saw some of the old sea wall... a very pleasant afternoon down a lot of lanes I never knew about. I really know very little about the north of this island!
