Personal transport in the 1880s

Again I have been trawling through my late Dad's papers and I came across this picture of my great grandfather and his brother-in-law riding a victorian quadricycle in Leeds.  It seems that we may be going full circle here as I notice that modern pedal driven quadricycles are beginning to appear in our city centres once more.
