Icky Nicky Caves

We decided to go on a boat trip to the Ekincik Caves today...or as I prefer to call them, the Icky Nicky Caves. It was brilliant. Tomas and Helen looked after us, starting with drinks as we arrived, tasty breads to nibble on as we set off and then a gorgeous bbq later in the day.

We had passed the boat on the way into town last night and decided we wanted one of the sun beds on the roof so we did what any sensible, German, person would do...we arrived early and stuck our towels there. It was the perfect spot. Six of us sat up there and soaked up the sun...mind you I was very ungainly getting up and down!!

We set off on the river then Tomas negotiated the narrow channel by the sandbank and we headed out to sea. It was a fabulous day and a great way to finish off our holiday. Even being thrown in the sea by Tomas was a laugh.

We’ve just had had a last night in town but we have most of tomorrow to swim, sunbathe and go for a late lunch in town before we fly home....unless I decide to stay!!!
