Egrets, I've had a few......

Now, before you start telling me that, actually, that's a cow, not an egret, let me just say that I know. But if you look in front of the cow and a bit to her right, there's an egret. A trip to St. Albans this morning which seemed to be full of gowns and mortar boards; a product of the graduation ceremony for the local university. We bought a sandwich for lunch before driving home and stopped off at a lovely little spot just out of town to eat it overlooking a very attractive ford. A herd of these cows were feeding next to us and having an occasional paddle in the stream.
