Finally....

.....managed to lock Maisie indoors and have another go at photographing the dragonflies.
I also managed to clear the pond a bit. I pulled out masses of Iris and oxygenating plants which have run rampant (gave them away on Freecycle so now 3 other ponds are benefitting). Now that I can see into the water I am amazed at how much life is down there. I still have tadpoles - I would have thought they had turned into frogs by now - lots of water boatmen and even a dead newt which makes me wonder if there are any live ones in there.
I will keep an eye on it.
