Cold Hands

It was cold on the hands alright!

Lacking imagination? I don't think so, M and I had another walk in to the Ardverikie wilderness today. We never seem to be away from the place these days, but it is so beautiful. Struggling for blips some days this week we could have had a hundred today. This is a wee bit higher and further inland again from Roy Bridge and that soft winter light had snow to dance off as well as the yellow brown hill sides and lochs.

On our way in, and up, it was still and the sunshine made it feel pleasant. By the time we turned and started our way back it had clouded over and there was light wind which made it feels absolutely icy on exposed skin.

M, having solved the cold wet feet problem with new boots has transferred the issue to her hands. We could have been mistaken for a romantic couple (which of course we are) holding hands coming back down the track. The hand holding had a more practical purpose here; to keep at least one of M's hands a little warmer. For what ever reason my hands, ungloved, seems to stay warmer than others' on cold days.

Anyway, here is Caley oblivious to M's body language, unable to understand why she is so reluctant to throw that ice covered stick for him.
