Late Autumn in the Orchard

Nearly all the leaves have gone and only a couple of trees are still keeping their apples. I will get them soon, apple crumble next week.
In the background is the fruit cage that has been built for a few months now. I have done all the preparation work, bought the plants yesterday and today am planting. The man on the plant stall told us not to expect much fruit next year; they need to bed in first so expectations appropriately low.
It looks much better with plants in so that's an immediate bonus.
