The Green....

Verna and I had a very happy day in Surrey, just clearing the fridge and doing a few other jobs at our friends holiday home as they have now returned home. 

We made a day of it, stopping en route for coffee, then lunch in the lovely village of Shere. After all jobs were done, we decided to return to our coffee venue for dinner before heading home. 

Posted the day after, I can now record our journey home.....

There was a diversion, always a bit of a pain. We did fine, going down roads we'd never travelled before and it was quite dark by now. 
We must have missed one of the diversion signs and found ourselves in the middle of goodness knows where with nowhere to stop safely to set up directions on my phone. Finally, a name I recognised on a signpost and a pub with two young men sitting outside willing to set us off in the right direction. The opportunity for me to set up my phone to help us and the very nice lady giving us instructions..... 

No big deal really and a just a little adventure, but we were pleased to eventually enter familiar territory and very grateful for technology...

Funny too, neither of the men had missed us!!
