Harvest

Not the best photo that I ever took but what with the low light and the wine tasting session... On a vineyard at Neuville de Poitou and they are currently cutting grapes. They still harvest by hand here and it is not the intensive activity that I have imagined but rather a leisurely occupation. Anyway, they produce very good wines in what is not a leading wine area - in fact this appears to be the only vineyard in the area. We succumbed to a few purchases and will return next year to try these grapes in vinous form.

Still cannot get used to how little one can pay for some really good wine over here.
