There is to be a rat cull in the Galápagos Islands. Hundreds of millions of rats will be killed, by Lord of the Rings figures, to protect the islands birds and reptiles.

In other news, my husband and I have paid a visit to Betty's in Ilkley. Eggs Benedict and treacle tart swilled down with Earl Grey. We particularly enjoyed the visit as we had no kids with us.
