Whitebaiting.....

.......prefect day for being by the river chatting to your mates while waiting for the tiny fish to swim into your nets.

New Zealand whitebait are caught during their migration into freshwater habitats after their larval stage at sea. They're much smaller than Chinese or British whitebait, averaging 45–55 mm in length and are around 15-22 weeks old. They're a delicacy and fetch a good price, they taste pretty good to!

Wednesday........cold with a slight easterly breeze coming in off the sea. Cloud cover keeping the temperature down although when the sun was out it was warm upon ones back.

Thanks to BobsBlip for hosting Wide Angle Wednesday, today's theme being 'weather'.

Warm thanks to all who have stopped by recently, your words, stars and fav's are very much appreciated, thank you :)

Happy Wednesday everyone :)
